Earlier than he retires from Insomniac Video games, founder and CEO Ted Worth might be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ (AIAS) Corridor of Fame.
Worth might be honored throughout February’s DICE Awards in recognition for his lengthy tenure on the PlayStation studio. In its announcement, Academy president Meggan Scavio deemed him “a visionary and steadfast chief. Ted has left an indelible mark on our trade, and his legacy encompasses a portfolio of beloved and critically acclaimed video games, a studio that holds him within the highest regard, and a profound influence on the Academy itself.”
Earlier this week, Worth revealed he will depart Insomniac and the bigger recreation trade in March. After his departure, Insomniac might be led by longtime staff Ryan Scheider, Jen Huang, and Chad Dezern.
Schneider will current the award to Worth, and described him to the Academy as “a Corridor of Fame recreation improvement chief and a good higher human. […] He embodies Insomniac’s imaginative and prescient of constructing a constructive and lasting influence on folks’s lives, inspiring numerous staff, companions and gamers in a very exceptional legacy.”

Beforehand, Worth served because the Academy’s chairman and vice chairman, and hosted its Recreation Maker’s Pocket book podcast. He joins earlier Corridor of Fame inductees similar to longtime Mario composer Koji Kondo, NetherRealm’s Ed Boon, and fellow PlayStation alum Connie Sales space.
Throughout her time at PlayStation, Sales space had a key hand in growing a number of key franchises for the model, together with Insomniac’s very personal Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. The pair make for the one two Sony representatives within the Corridor of Fame.
The DICE Awards, and Worth’s induction into the AIAS Corridor of Fame, will air on Thursday, February 13.
